However... Some lowlife scum praying on the innocent tried to bully me to send him $900 in bitcoins recently. Had my password (which was 8 characters long) and tried to use that to convince me he had hacked my machine. The sad truth is that a lot of non-technical people will probably believe this id...

1.d4 exclusively here. I like the closed openings, like Kings Indian. Against 1.e4 I play the Caro or 1...e5, but there's a scary amount of crazy openings you need to know after the latter. Against 1.d4 it's almost always 1...d5 and classical queen pawn openings. I can't get a good handle on Nimzo-I...

Seems Lichess is mainly for live chess and variants. If you only evaluate the smart phone app, you will miss incredibly much, but even there you can play casual games as well as rated, in real time, correspondence as well as unlimited time limits. I suggest you check it out in your browser though, ...

I will always love Net-Chess. But http://lichess.org is amazingly vibrant and totally free. They have a smartphone app for playing games, but do NOT forego using the website as well. The three move rule is automatic. The mistake a lot of people make is thinking that because the board looks the same three times, that counts as a three move repetition, but it has to be the same state: same position, same player to move, same en-passent status. Same castling status too... M...
