Starting New Games

Post by langelli » Thu Feb 09, 2012 9:52 pm

Whenever I'm looking for a match I always check how many forfeits a player has in relationship to how many games they've played. I'm always amazed when someone has up around 75-80% forfeits, and they're joining a match calling for 10 players and 2 games each player. We should all avoid palying such people. Maybe if we do our best to avoid them they'll go away. What got me going on this topic is that right now there is a 10 game challenge out there, and one of the players I'm refering to joined. In fact, this player's forfeit percentage is higher than 80%. This is a great site. In fact, it's the best chess site on the internet. Too bad we have to tolerate this type of behavior.

I do the same before joining a match, my friend! If I see a player with more than 10% of his games gone on time forfeit, I just won't join. And there's a particular player in another ten-game system-posted match there now that's a real dandy! Joined Jan.30, 2012. Played 17 games, and has 17 time forfeits! Incredible! Not to mention names, but how does merapi sound?

It appears Merapi hasn't logged on since 2-2-12. Is there some way to filter who can join tourneys? tia

That's the player who got me going.
