Why One Game/Move At A Time ...?

.....................................Image...................................

Greetings All !

Even though it's only just some of my opponents who do this, still I'm wondering ......

Why do some opponents play just one game at-a-time, in a Two Game Match ...???

Does anyone else experience this here with your opponents ...???

Maybe I'm missing something ...???

It has happened to me too.
My answer: It is best not to worry
too much about the murky mental byways of chessplayers.

I have seen this a few times in the recent times playing. I figure it's from the list being too long and it places recently moved "Rather than" lowest time. And some people can't get through the mounds of games they commit to.

I like to wonder why some people play super weird moves consistently even as high as 2500. An example: I have one game where due to my unorthdox opening they slip a pawn. But some of them pretend it was a gambit. Is the weirdness a fad? Are they literally slipping the material? Is it a known gambit?

Thanks Mustang ...... I think maybe you've got something there ...I didn't think about that ! I suppose that not every player here enjoys the luxury that I do, in being retired and able to make chess moves at any time of day or night, regardless of my current game load ! :)

My only response to this would be to refer you back to GCohen's remark [above] concerning the "murky mentalities" of some chess players. Thanks for responding !

The list on the home page is sorted by the least amount of time left, so if they're not moving in a game it will eventually make it to the top of that list. The list displayed after you make a move is just sorted by the game ID.

Wouldn't it be a weakness though to assume everyone looks at the home page?
